Noodle Necklace

in Crafts

Make a noodle necklace craftNoodle necklaces are an all time favorite. You can choose to use just one noodle type or an assortment for more variety and creative play time with making the necklaces. For older children, the necklaces can be painted with tempera paint after the noodles are threaded on to the yarn. Let little imaginations run… this project can also be used to make bracelets and crowns.

You need:

  • uncooked pasta noodles with holes (macaroni, rigatoni, ziti, cartwheels or similar).
  • yarn
  • tape
  • scissors
  1. Cut a piece of yarn with the scissors, 18″-24″ long.
  2. Wrap one end of yarn with tape so it is easier to thread through the noodles.
  3. Add one noodle and tie yarn around it so that the noodle doesn’t fall off the yarn.

Now the yarn is ready for little hands to thread on various noodles.
