Hi, I am Amanda, an eco-friendly, garden loving, quilting mom who LOVES being with my children and teaching them about the world. In addition to being a mom of 2, I have my Master’s Degree of Reading Education for K-12 and am a National Board certified teacher with 5 years of classroom experience. I currently blog with my best friend Kim at The Educators’ Spin on It, a parenting blog about reading, gardening, crafting, and raising bilingual children.

My name is Danielle and I’m just amazed how creative kids can be. I’m from the Netherlands and came to the US in 2006. My daughter was 3 months old then. Now she has a brother and we all like to make crafts with recyclable materials. I teach my kids about the environment and how to be creative with it. I have a bachelor degree in Occupational therapy and I’ve worked with children for 9 years in Germany. Since I have been in the US I still love to work with kids and their parents. I’m working on a non-profit community project here in South East Iowa: a Craft Cafe with Indoor Playground, so families can get together, be creative, learn and play even in the extreme seasons here in Iowa. Every Saturday we have 20 kids coming to our local toy store and craft and play.

I’m a stay at home mother of two beautiful daughters. When they’re at preschool, I’m crafting my way back to sanity, planning their next birthday party, and blogging about the journey. In my life ‘before kids’ I was trained in design and management, and now, in my ‘better life’ I do my best to keep my skills alive by designing party printables and inventing craft projects for other people’s children to enjoy.

I am a work at home mom of two. I started crafting to encourage me to do more activities with my daughters. And found that my daughters and I all really enjoy crafting together. We enjoy doing a lot of re-purposing crafts as well as some fun educational games. And in the spring most of our projects are out in the garden. All of our projects are fun and I try to teach my daughters something with each one we do.
